The training opened with welcome remarks from Pasay City Tourism and Cultural Development Office Tourism Operations Officer Mr. Bayani Liwanag Jr. and it discussed the situation of tourism in the Philippines and how it contributes to the country’s economy. It also emphasized the importance of collecting and submitting tourism-related data as it will help in identifying trends and in drafting tourism tourism policies and strategies. Participants also engaged in hands-on exercises to get tourism data, allowing them to apply statistical concepts in practical scenarios.

Overall, the training was a success, providing valuable learning experiences and networking opportunities. The activity concluded with a call to continue promoting data-driven approaches to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism industry. Once again, AIMS Museo Maritimo would like to express its sincere thanks to the Pasay City Tourism and Cultural Development Office for inviting the museum in the said training. The training would be very much helpful for its staff to understand market trends and improve its operations.
