The sea has long connected people, places, and ideas. Throughout history, every voyage has relied not only on a destination but also on the relationships built along the way. In much the same spirit, AIMS Museo Maritimo continues to strengthen its connections with organizations that share a commitment to heritage, education, and sustainable tourism.

We are pleased to share that AIMS Museo Maritimo is now an official member of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).

This membership marks another step in the museum's continuing efforts to strengthen its institutional foundations through professional accreditations and meaningful partnerships. As the museum continues its Department of Tourism (DOT) Accreditation, it also remains actively engaged with museum and cultural organizations in the Philippines and abroad.

Among these are the Alliance of Greater Manila Area Museums (AGMAM) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) locally, together with international organizations such as the International Council of Museums (ICOM), University Museums and Collections (UMAC), Committee for Education and Cultural Action (CECA), Teaching with Objects Program (TWO), International Congress of Maritime Museums (ICMM), and the Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS). These affiliations provide opportunities to learn from peers, exchange ideas, and contribute to the wider museum and heritage community.

Through its membership in the Tourism Promotions Board, AIMS Museo Maritimo also becomes part of a broader network working to promote Philippine tourism. This provides opportunities to collaborate with public and private tourism stakeholders in developing initiatives that support responsible and sustainable tourism while encouraging greater appreciation of the country's maritime heritage.

As a maritime museum, we recognize that every journey is shaped by steady progress rather than a single destination. Each partnership, collaboration, and shared undertaking helps us navigate new opportunities to fulfill our mission of preserving and interpreting the Philippines' maritime history for present and future generations.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone whose dedication and support made this milestone possible—from our museum staff and institutional partners to the AIMS community. Your continued encouragement enables us to keep moving forward with purpose.

We look forward to working alongside the Tourism Promotions Board and our fellow partners as we continue to promote maritime heritage, support cultural tourism, and welcome more people to discover the stories that connect our nation to the sea.
