Every third week of July, the Philippines observes National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week (NDPR Week) to promote disability awareness, foster inclusion, and advocate for equal opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs). The observance underscores the importance of creating communities where everyone can participate with dignity and without barriers.

In support of these ideals, AIMS Museo Maritimo continues to make Philippine maritime heritage more accessible and inclusive. As the country's first maritime-themed museum, it offers sensory kits to enhance the museum experience for visitors with sensory needs, has mental health booklets that tackles various mental health concerns, and advances its Digital Voices Content, which expands access to museum stories through inclusive digital content.

These initiatives reflect the museum's commitment to ensuring that maritime heritage is not only preserved but also made accessible to all, reinforcing the message of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week that every individual deserves equal access to learning, culture, and participation.
