To celebrate the 12th founding anniversary of AIMS Museo Maritimo and National Museums and Galleries Month this October, the AIMS Museo Maritimo of the Center for Library, Archives, and Museum Services (CLAMS) will host the 8th Philippine Maritime Heritage Forum. This year's theme is "Maritime History and Industry: The Role of Maritime Heritage in Nation-Building."
The 8th forum will focus on the interplay between maritime history and industry, examining how maritime history can influence emerging sectors within the maritime field. This event will gather leaders from the maritime industry who are dedicated to innovation. By highlighting the significance of maritime history in shaping the industry, we aim to connect the museum's efforts with tangible benefits for the sector. With this vision, the 8th forum serves as an excellent platform to cultivate a community of maritime heritage enthusiasts committed to nation-building. Additionally, AIMS Museo Maritimo will showcase temporary exhibits made possible through our partnership with the PUP Department of History.

The forum will take place at AIMS Museo Maritimo, Lighthouse Building, on October 11, 2024 (Friday) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This will be a hybrid event, allowing participants to join both onsite and online.
