In celebration of World Ocean Day last June 6 and the upcoming Day of the Seafarer on June 25, the AIMS Museo Maritimo presents the fifth volume of Timon: The Proceedings of the Philippine Maritime Heritage Forum.

For years, the museum has strived to enrich public knowledge and scholarly discourse by publishing conference proceedings. The fifth volume explored the intersection of maritime education and the maritime economy—two pillars critical to the growth and sustainability of the Philippine maritime industry.

This publication continues our commitment to research, sparking conversation, and preserving our rich maritime legacy. Like its predecessors, this volume expands our understanding of maritime heritage while offering new perspectives on current industry challenges and academic insights.
