AIMS Museo Maritimo is pleased to share that it has received a grant from the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) and the TK Foundation to support the development of its Mobile Maritime Museum, a project that aims to bring Philippine maritime history and heritage beyond the walls of the museum and closer to communities.
The grant will be utilized to develop the mobile museum vehicle as well as exhibition and educational materials. Through this project, the museum hopes to make maritime history more accessible and engaging, particularly for audiences who may have limited opportunities to visit a physical museum. The mobile museum will feature educational displays and interactive activities that highlight the country's rich maritime culture and traditions.

The project also provides an opportunity to highlight the many dimensions of the country's maritime identity, starting from traditional boats and fishing practices to seafaring, maritime trade, naval history, and the development of the maritime industry.
By bringing these stories to different audiences, the project seeks to encourage greater appreciation of the sea not only as a geographic feature but also as an important part of Philippine history, culture, and identity.
AIMS Museo Maritimo extends its sincere gratitude to Orange Country Community Foundation (OCCF) and the TK Foundation for their generous support as well as for trusting the museum’s vision. With their support, the museum can bring the stories of our seas, seafarers, and maritime traditions closer to more people.
