The AIMS Museo Maritimo Team had an opportunity to visit HistoEx 2026 which was held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall from July 27 to 29, 2026. Organized by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), the three-day exposition brought together history enthusiasts, students, educators, and cultural institutions to celebrate and promote Philippine history through engaging and interactive activities.

Carrying the theme "Across Borders and Currents," HistoEx 2026 commemorated the Year of Philippine Diplomatic History and Diaspora through a variety of exhibits, educational talks, and cultural presentations that celebrated the nation's rich history, heritage, and global connections.

The museum team, together with their intern, visited the various exhibits and explored the educational activities featured throughout the exposition. The visit provided valuable insights into Philippine history beyond the museum, while also exposing themselves to diverse historical perspectives and innovative approaches to public history through interactive and engaging exhibits.

The visit to HistoEx 2026 served as a meaningful learning opportunity for the museum team and their intern as the experience provided valuable insights that will support the museum intern's academic and professional development while also inspiring new ideas for museum education, public engagement, and heritage promotion.
