The maritime world is vast—why not chart your own course?
The AIMS Museo Maritimo proudly introduces the Career Canvas Map, a simplified and student-centered framework designed to guide the students in planning and building their careers with purpose and direction after graduation.
Much like a business canvas model—but crafted for your career journey—the Career Canvas Map motivates students to go beyond the traditional way of planning a career. Students are encouraged to explore a much broader horizon of opportunities, both onshore and offshore.
What’s in the Map?
Upon exploring the canvas map, you’ll be able to see the importance of setting a purpose-driven end goal, charting opportunities that may help you discover diverse maritime career paths, and learn practical steps such as searching for job opportunities, crafting resumes, managing finances, building networks and institutions, and as well as setting indicators for your future career.
The exhibit presents two QR codes that may be scanned through smartphones, and will directly link the participant to a user-friendly website that presents the significant information regarding the different parts of the canvas map. The second QR code links the participant to an online activity form which consists of a more fun and interactive interpretation of the canvas map.
Through this online activity form, the students are able to plan and visualize their career goals without having to feel the pressure of gradually entering the professional world.
Step-by-Step Process:

First Step: Align your phone to the exhibit label and scan the first (left side) QR code.

Second Step: After successfully scanning the code, a website will appear on your screens, and present the various components of the canvas map. To view the information of each component, you may click the corresponding image and scroll down a little bit. (If another photo is present in the content, you may also click them to view the attached corresponding file.)

Third Step: After going through the content of the website, you may proceed and scan the second (right side) QR code. This will automatically link to an online activity form that must be completed and submitted.
