Every July, the Philippines celebrates National Nutrition Month to encourage everyone to practice healthy eating and adopt better lifestyle habits. Good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy body and mind, enabling students to learn better, workers to perform their best, and communities to thrive. By making nutritious food choices and staying active, we take an important step toward a healthier future.

For Filipino seafarers, proper nutrition is especially vital. Working long hours at sea requires strength, endurance, and mental alertness, making a balanced diet essential for their health, safety, and well-being. Healthy seafarers are better equipped to meet the demands of their profession and continue contributing to the country's maritime excellence.

As we celebrate National Nutrition Month, we also recognize the importance of preserving our maritime identity through the AIMS Museo Maritimo. The museum showcases the rich history, heritage, and achievements of Filipino seafarers, inspiring students and visitors to appreciate the nation's enduring connection to the sea. Together, good nutrition and a deep appreciation of our maritime legacy inspire us to build a healthier nation while honoring the men and women who keep our maritime tradition alive.
