AIMS Museo Maritimo participates at the Tourism WoRCS Training

On September 23, 2026, AIMS Museo Maritimo participated at the Tourism WORCS (Tourism Integreates, Supports and Minds Women's Rights and Child Safety) Training organized by the Pasay City Tourism and Cultural Development Office. It was attended by representatives of tourism establishments based in the city.
The one-day training was facilitated by Mr. Edward Tiongco who is a Policy Development Consultant and Child Rights Advocate. The training mainly brought together the tourism stakeholders to deepen their understanding of women’s rights, child protection, and the shared responsibility of preventing abuse, exploitation, and other forms of violence within tourism environments.
Through interactive learning activities, participants were encouraged to recognize the potential risks, respond appropriately to concerns, and help create safer spaces for women and children.
The program also emphasized the important role of tourism establishments in promoting dignity, respect, equality, and protection. By equipping participants with relevant knowledge and practical approaches, the training aims to strengthen their capacity to contribute to a tourism industry where everyone can feel safe and respected.
The Tourism WORCS training reflects Pasay City Tourism Office’s continuing efforts to integrate human rights and child-safeguarding principles into tourism development. More than a training activity, it serves as a reminder that protecting women and children is essential to building a responsible, inclusive, and sustainable tourism industry.
