In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month and the Halloween season last October, the AIMS Museo Maritimo successfully launched its Museo Maritimo Gamified Tour, marking a significant step in redefining how visitors engage with maritime history and heritage.

The launch featured the Museo Maritimo Mystery Room Game, an original concept developed by AIMS Museo Maritimo intern Shin Fernandez. This innovative activity combined elements of mystery, adventure, and history to create an immersive learning experience that appealed to visitors of all ages.

Participants began their journey by scanning a QR code at the museum entrance, selecting a difficulty level — Easy, Medium, or Hard — and following a series of interactive clues throughout the museum’s exhibits. Each challenge was designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the country’s rich maritime culture while promoting teamwork, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Visitors formed teams with classmates, friends, or family members to solve the puzzles, decode messages, and uncover the hidden secrets of the sea. The event drew enthusiastic participation, transforming the museum into a hub of discovery and collaboration.

Outstanding participants were recognized and featured on the Museo Maritimo Facebook page, highlighting their success in completing the maritime mystery.
