AIMS Museo Maritimo goes to GSIS Historians' Fair 2026

Despite the rain on August 7 and 8, 2026, the weather did not stop the team of AIMS Museo Maritimo from attending the GSIS Historians’ Fair held at the Museo ng Sining at the GSIS Complex in Pasay City. The event brought together a diverse community of people interested in Philippine history and heritage, including students, researchers, cultural workers, educators, and other history enthusiasts.
One of the highlights of the team's visit was attending the talk of renowned historian and author Ambeth Ocampo, who discussed the Rizal Law. His discussion offered interesting perspectives regarding the said law. He examined some of its limitations as well as how the law can be used in the context of education today.
The GSIS Historians’ Fair also gave the team an enriching opportunity to see the museum's exhibits and at the same time, they were able to observe, and gain a deeper appreciation of Philippine history. It was a simple yet memorable experience and one that reminded us that learning about history is always worth the journey.
